Each RC Race Track has there own Protocol (set of rules). The Protocol varies from; everyone just knows what is going on to loud, arrogant and self centered dictators calling every moment of the racing evening.

The left menu are specific topics of interest.

Rules and Guidelines that most Tracks Follow

  • Cursing, or abusive language from the drivers stand, or pit areas, results in the racer being asked to leave.
  • Applying the throttle of your car while it is being marshaled results in the car NOT being marshaled. Most tracks don't require the marshals to be idiots; i.e. pick up a car again if you throttled it while it was in the marshal's hands. The reason for this strict rule is safety; clothes, hair and fingers do not mix well with turning gears and tires.
  • If you throw your transmitter or car, you will be asked to leave.
  • NO alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are permitted. You will be asked to leave.
  • Crystal style transmitters can only be turned on while on the drivers stand.
  • Driving cars in the pit area is prohibited at any time.
  • Do NOT Scream OR Curse at the turn marshals. If you do verbally abuse a marshal, you will be asked to leave.
  • Everyone marshals after their race. If you race back-to-back, You are responsible for getting a replacement. Penalties for not marshaling after your race generally result in a 1 lap penalty of your last race.
  • Drivers must return the transponders immediately after their race.
  • Unsportsmanlike driving can result in a lap penalties, or being asked to leave.
  • Jumping the start can be penalized.
  • Driving backwards or using reverse during a race results in a lap penalties or disqualification.
  • Tech inspections are conducted at the end of each heat or race. Or at least each car is weighed.
  • Race Directors/Owner rulings are final.
  • The RC Track reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
  • No person attending a race day or practice will have any claim against the Owner. Just be happy you have a place to race. If you deem something unsafe, mention it to the owner. If the owner does not correct it; you do not have to patronize the Race Track. It is a cruel world.
